Commercial move
Every day the shutter stays down costs you money
A shop, a restaurant, a workshop, a practice, a studio – when your premises move, your turnover moves with them. Not a single customer walks in while the counter is in a lorry. So we plan a commercial move backwards: from the day you want to reopen, not from the day you want to start packing.
- As few closing days as possible – we work around your opening hours, not the other way round.
- Shopfittings, stock and equipment – counters, shelving, cold units, workbenches, goods.
- Our own staff and our own fleet – no subcontractors handling your stock.
- Packing and handling agreed before booking
- Old premises cleared so you hand them back on time and get your deposit back.
Moving an office rather than commercial premises? Workstations, IT and archives are a different job with a different plan – that is our corporate relocation service.
Who we move
Commercial premises – each with its own problem
A restaurant is not a shop and a workshop is not a practice. What they share is that closed means no income. What they do not share is what has to be carried out of the door.
Retail & shops
Counters, shelving, rails, tills and the whole stock room. We move the fittings and the goods together, so the shop is a shop again and not a warehouse.
Restaurants, cafés & bars
Kitchen units, cold and cooking equipment, furniture, glassware and crockery. Your qualified trades disconnect and reconnect the gas, water and power – we take care of everything in between.
Workshops & trades
Workbenches, tool cabinets, materials and stock. Heavy, awkward and irreplaceable if it arrives broken – which is why it is insured and handled by people who do this daily.
Practices & consulting rooms
Treatment furniture, cabinets, waiting-room fit-out and your filing. Records stay in the order you keep them, and only your team touches what is confidential.
Studios & salons
Chairs, mirrors, wash units, equipment and product stock. Usually a job for a Sunday and a Monday, so the first appointment on Tuesday happens on time.
Stock rooms & small warehouses
Pallets, shelving and stock. If the new premises are not ready yet, it goes into storage and comes back out the day you need it.
Something not on the list? Then it is probably still one of ours. Tell us what is in the premises and we will say honestly whether we are the right people – ideally before you book, not on the day.
Scope
Fittings, stock and the awkward things
The furniture is rarely the problem. The problem is the counter that will not fit through the door, the stock that has to stay sellable, and the heavy unit nobody wants to be responsible for.
Fittings & furniture
Counters, shelving, cabinets, tables, seating, reception units. Dismantled where they have to be and rebuilt at the new address so the place is ready to trade, not full of flat-pack.
Stock & fragile goods
Identify fragile stock and equipment before the move. We agree packing materials and handling for the inventory. Ask separately about liability terms and any additional cover.
Equipment & heavy units
Cold units, cooking equipment, workbenches, machines. We move them – connections to gas, water and power are disconnected and reconnected by your qualified trades. We confirm at the survey what we can take and what needs a specialist, before you book.
Access & the hard bits
Narrow Berlin frontages, courtyards, no loading bay, upper floors. We apply for the no-parking zones at both addresses and bring a furniture lift where the staircase says no.
What is not coming
The shelving that has had its day, the broken chairs, the stock you have written off. Cleared and disposed of responsibly in the same appointment, so the old premises go back empty.
The gap between two leases
Old lease ends before the new fit-out is finished? Everything goes into storage and comes back out the day the premises are ready. Moving to another city? Then it is a long-distance relocation.
The plan
We plan backwards from the day you reopen
Most removal quotes start with the loading. Yours should start with the moment a customer walks back in, because that is the only date on the plan that actually costs money if it slips.
-
1
Pick the reopening date
Not the moving date. Everything else is planned backwards from the day the door opens again.
-
2
Survey on the premises
We see the counter, the cold unit, the stock room and the door it all has to fit through. That is where surprises get found – not on the day.
-
3
Fixed price & the closing window
One written price and a schedule that says exactly which hours you are shut.
-
4
Out and in
Dismantling, loading, transport, rebuilding – through the night or across your quietest days, whichever costs you less.
-
5
Reopen
Fittings standing, stock in place, old premises cleared. You unlock the door and trade.
Tell us the reopening date. If it is not realistic, you hear that at the survey – not the night before.
Why us
Your stock, your fittings, your reopening date
Three things that all cost real money if the removal company gets them wrong. Here is why they usually do, and what we do instead.
A cheap quote from a company that has never moved a counter, and a crew hired for the day who find out at 7 a.m. that the cold unit does not fit through the door.
What we doWe come and look first. Permanently employed movers, our own fleet, and the awkward pieces measured before you get a price – not after.
An hourly meter that keeps running while your shop stays shut, and a final invoice nobody can explain to the accountant.
What we doOne written fixed price after the survey, every item listed separately, one invoice. What you sign is what you pay.
“Yes, of course that works” – and then the reopening slips by three days, which costs more than the entire move did.
What we doOur Berlin-based moving team assesses your inventory and both addresses before agreeing the work. Discuss packing, access and any assembly with your contact. Read customer feedback for other moving experiences.

Frequently asked questions
FAQ – Closing days, fittings, stock & equipment
The key answers about moving commercial premises with Junker Removals – and when you can reach us.
What counts as a commercial move?
Any business premises that is not an office: shops and retail, restaurants, cafés and bars, workshops and trades, practices and consulting rooms, studios and salons, stock rooms and small warehouses. What they have in common is that the fittings and the stock are the job, and every closed day costs turnover. Moving an office with workstations, IT and archives? That is our corporate relocation service instead.
How many days will we have to close?
As few as your premises allow – and we tell you the number before you book rather than after. Small premises are often a single closing day or a night. Larger ones with a lot of fittings or heavy equipment need more. The honest answer only exists after the survey, because it depends on the door, the access and what is bolted down.
Can you work outside our opening hours?
Yes. Nights, Sundays and your quietest days are normal for us on commercial jobs – that is where a move belongs when a closed door costs money. We put the exact closing window in the written schedule, so you can tell your customers and your staff before it happens.
What happens to our shopfittings, counters and shelving?
They move with you. Counters, shelving, rails, cabinets and reception units are dismantled where they have to be, transported and rebuilt at the new address – so the place is ready to trade rather than full of parts. Anything that will not fit through a door gets found at the survey, not on the day.
Do you move kitchen equipment, cold units and machines?
We move them. What we do not do is the gas, water and electrical work – disconnecting and reconnecting is done by your qualified trades, as it has to be. At the survey we confirm exactly what we can take and what needs a specialist, so nothing is discovered at seven in the morning.
How is our stock protected?
Identify fragile stock and equipment before the move. We agree packing materials and handling for the inventory. Ask separately about liability terms and any additional cover.
Our new premises are not ready yet. Can you store everything?
Yes. If the old lease ends before the fit-out is finished, your fittings and stock go into storage and come back out on the day the premises are ready. That is usually cheaper than paying rent on two places to bridge the gap.
Do you clear the old premises?
Yes – in the same appointment. The shelving that has had its day, the broken chairs, the written-off stock: cleared and disposed of responsibly, so you hand the premises back empty and on time and the deposit conversation stays short.
